INFORMATION OVERLOAD reflects on society’s inherent nature to crave information, and its dependency on it. We will touch on the modern day acquisitions of technology and society, the internet, the stock market, cell phones, you name it! In a nutshell – watch a news channel sometime, MSNBC, CNN, how many signboards and floating messages can a single channel have? What and how much can we expect to focus on at once? Why is society so afraid of silence? Of stillness? The music will be frenetic, the visual drill blinding in confusion, only to resolve in silence, and consonance. It will be exciting and at the same time reflective.

Columnist for Bands of America and Drum Corps International offers this summary of the Marching Eagles production of "Information Overload" written after the band's special exhibition performance at the BOA Grand National Finals:
Bellbrook High School Marching Band
Bellbrook, OH
Class AA Champion exhibition
Bellbrook High School was the Class AA Champion from Semi-Finals.
"Information Overload" asked the modern day question, "Why are we so afraid of silence?" Frank Ticheli's frenetic "Postcard" swerved through the confused and hasty confusion of everyday life amidst the pounding stimuli of a world connected perhaps a bit too much. A respite in the form of the lovely strains of Morten Laudisen's "O Magnum Mysterium" offered the solace that people on the go seem to yearn for, but can rarely obtain. All too fast, "Masque" from Leonard Bernstein's "The Age of Anxiety" swept away any notion of relaxation with a reminder that the information age is not going to go away, with giant cell phone sets cautioning us that while we might be able to run from the grip of technology, we will never be able to hide from it completely.
