Canticle of Praise is an original composition
developed by Mike and Barb Siler incorporating familiar sacred music with fast tempo for
the marching band. The warm-up and opening number is a variation of "Praise to the Lord" with a distinctive percussion undercurrent. True to Bellbrook's "storytelling" concept, the opener is followed by a ballad arrangement of Gethsemane from the hit movie "Jesus Christ Superstar". The closing piece begins with a full-band fanfare leading into a complex interchange of the hymn "All Creatures of our God and King". The closing number envelopes an organ and vocal rendition of the "Doxology" before finishing with a charge incorporating music from the remainder of the show. Bellbrook is proud to have original arrangements, scoring, and drill design produced by our director (Marty Spitzer), assistant director (Barb Siler and husband Mike), and colorguard coordinator Belynda Frieden. |
