Dear Unit Directors:

Best wishes to you and your units on a successful day of performances!  To ensure that today’s competition will run more smoothly we have taken the time to include the following on today’s schedule listing:

1)       Large Equipment / Props entrance time

2)       Large Equipment / Props exit time

3)       Homeroom and homeroom times

Construction / Large Equipment and Prop Flow

Please pardon our dust.  Due to construction this year, prop and equipment flow will be somewhat constricted at the entrance / exit of the back hallway.  Only one location has double wide doors to accommodate large props and large percussion equipment.  The performer / equipment exit is only a single wide door, however, we have assigned exit times for large props and equipment out the double wide doors. We encourage you to exit as much equipment out the single wide door as possible to assist the overall flow.

Props

We can only hold 7 units’ props in the back hallway at any one time. Therefore your props and equipment will not be permitted to enter the building prior to your Props entrance time, which is 20 minutes prior to your scheduled warm-up time. You will be asked to line your props against the outdoor / outside wall prior to entrance, and asked stay within the taped boundary lines while in the building to help facilitate the indoor movement..  Only a few volunteers will be permitted to stay with your props until your READY LINE time and all volunteers must refrain from blocking the flow of equipment in and out of the building.

PERCUSSION UNITS

Your large percussion equipment MUST ENTER THROUGH the PROP ENTRANCE DOOR. Again, this is the only usable double wide door in the entire building. You will be permitted to move your percussion equipment in the prop entrance door at your scheduled time, 20 minutes prior to warm-up.  You will then proceed straight down the hallway (staying to the right), and await your warm-up time.

Future Guard and Percussion Shows at Bellbrook

We are convinced that today’s show will run as smoothly as possible with your help and assistance.  As you have by now noticed, Bellbrook High School is receiving a face lift.  Next year, when all of the dust has cleared, we will have a fully functional auxiliary gym, a new cafeteria, and an indoor commons area.  All of these new additions to Bellbrook High School will help make Bellbrook High School a model location for such events, making it a more pleasurable experience for everyone involved.

Thank you for attending the Bellbrook Winter Invitational this year.  We salute you for your patience, and hope to see you here again next season.

Sincerely,

Dave Carbone
